Happiness can only be found inside you, not in the external things people place so much emphasis on (including, but not limited to children, jobs, pets, material goods, vehicles, money, etc..) I'm still growing and learning, but I can say I've finally found one of the secrets of life. It took a walk through Hell to discover it, but it's made this thing called more understandable and definitely more bearable. I'm bipolar and have been stable since I was placed on the correct medications. My back has no skin left unmarked from being stabbed so much, but each wound has taught me a truth about the true nature of family. To quote Big Poppa E, "The only lessons worth learning are the ones that leave a mark." These lessons have marked me well, and I shall never forget. I have another LiveJournal, but this will be my place for discussion of my disorder, the stigma attached and my "wonderful" family and their "ideal support."
